Eric Gorfain began playing violin at the age of four, influenced by his father who
had studied violin until his teens. Within a few years, Eric was playing in youth orchestras, eventually working his way up to Concertmaster of the Sacramento Youth Symphony. During his six years with the SYS, he participated in tours to Europe and China, which gave him his first taste of international travel. Attending UCLA as a Music Performance major, Eric was given the opportunity to study in Japan in his senior year, which, after graduating, led to the start of his professional career as a studio musician in 1991. The first foreign violinist to establish himself in the studios of Tokyo, Eric spent three years playing violin on recordings and tours for the top artists in Japan, but in 1994 he decided to come back to Los Angeles. Now ten years in to his career, Eric is truly a bi-continental musician. While continuing his career as an in-demand session player in Los Angeles and Tokyo, in 1996 he served as Concertmaster- Contractor Translator for Jimmy Page & Robert Plant on their Unledded Tour of Japan, including a six night stand at the famous Budokan. A year later, he discovered a young band, Charcoal, in a Tokyo club, and produced their demo, which eventually became their debut release on VAP Records Japan. Producing Charcoal's first four releases gave Eric experience on "the other side of the glass", which caught the attention of Legato Music Management, who now represents him in Tokyo. Eric has written string arrangements for:

Frank Scarpelli studied piano from the age of nine, before taking up the electric bass in high school at the prompting of some friends
who needed a bassist for their band.
Professional gigs in and around his native New York City followed soon thereafter, and Frank knew he had found his passion. After attending the University of Massachusetts, Frank came to California in 1982 to pursue a career in music. Stretching out into the Blues, R&B and Soul styles, he decided to attend the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles to study Jazz with Gary Willis, Steve Bailey, and Bob Magnusson. In 1997 Frank joined El Vez (Big Pop Records) for his American and European tours. In addition to performing with and co-producing albums for Oscar Jordan and Cynthia Manley, Frank has performed and worked with such artists as:
Frank is currently producing a double-live album for Rich Harper (Kanawha St. Records) to be released in the Fall of 2001. Frank has always been involved with the technical side of the music business, first interning at a recording studio at the age of sixteen then branching out into live sound and lighting. Most recently, Frank was Assistant Technical Engineer for KPFK-90.7 fm radio in Los Angeles. After participating in the design and building of several recording and broadcast studios, it was time to build his own facility, which evolved into Quietstreet Studios. As Chief Engineer for Quietstreet Productions, Frank is directly responsible for the high-quality of sonic excellence and facility maintenance. Quietstreet is located at 1140 N.
